SUPPORTING ZERO WASTE POLICIES FOR A CLEANER WORLD

Assess the problem

Around the world, waste generation rates are rising. In 2016, the worlds’ cities generated 2.01 billion tonnes of solid waste, amounting to a footprint of 0.74 kilograms per person per day. With rapid population growth and urbanization, annual waste generation is expected to increase by 70% from 2016 levels to 3.40 billion tonnes in 2050.

Educate and Engage

Behavior change and public participation is key to a functional waste system. We support designing incentives and awareness systems to motivate waste reduction, source-separation and reuse. We believe that through implementation of educational programs for homes, schools, universities and communities we will be able to mobilize change and support citizen engagement.

Creating Legislation

Working in conjunction with our Universities and Scientists we will be preparing customized tools for engaged citizens to present to their towns in implementing clear and thoughtful plans towards zero waste legislation on the municipal level. By supporting communities in their unique needs and applying proved scientific methods we will be able to reduce the waste through saving in processing and implementing common sense regulation for each community.

Economic Stimulation

Problems always create new opportunities, not only we will have to pressure the big companies to work towards zero waste products but we will be supporting local communities, small business owners to develop new sources of income and business surrounding the zero waste needs. This support comes with financial, educational and developmental help to sustain and create new jobs and sources of income that will be beneficial for all.

Today’s volunteers.
Tomorrow’s leaders.

Managing waste properly is essential for building sustainable and livable cities, but it remains a challenge for many developing countries and cities. Effective waste management is expensive, often comprising 20%–50% of municipal budgets. Operating this essential municipal service requires integrated systems that are efficient, sustainable, and socially supported.

Empowering communities by providing them the tools to implement programs designed by Experts and giving them the support to change municipal legislation and governance will be essential to crate a new generation that will lead us towards a cleaner future.

Dedicated to change

We believe that profound impact can be done through grass root programs that will engage the younger generations in mobilizing change. We are here to support all communities in this endeavor, by creating guidelines and programs that are easy to follow and implement, by engaging our Universities and Research centers in creating these programs we can assure that they are up to date in the best practices and have support of our scientific and legal communities to care for our lives and our environment.

Zero Waste Label

We are looking to develop a Zero Waste label that will act as a benchmark for products that follow strict zero waste and environmentally friendly production policies.

Our Goal is to award it to products and services meeting high environmental standards throughout their life-cycle: from raw material extraction, to production, distribution and disposal. A label that will promotes the circular economy by encouraging producers to generate less waste and CO2 during the manufacturing process. The Zero waste Label criteria would certify and encourage companies to develop products that are durable, easy to repair and recycle.
